The Story Behind This Platform
I am not a developer. I don't write code professionally. What I do have is curiosity, a concern for the resilience of critical infrastructure, and a belief that the right information — presented clearly — can make a real difference.
jemena.ai was built using Google's Gemini and Anthropic's Claude Code — two AI-powered development tools working in tandem. Gemini brings deep reasoning and multimodal understanding; Claude Code brings rapid, conversational software development. Every feature, every page, every data pipeline was shaped through conversation — me describing what I needed, and AI helping bring it to life. It is proof that meaningful, functional software no longer requires years of technical training. It requires curiosity, clarity of purpose, and the right tools.
What This Platform Does
jemena.ai aggregates information from publicly available sources — government advisories, vulnerability databases, industry publications, and research feeds — and brings them together in one place, filtered for relevance and presented clearly.
All data ingested by this platform comes from open, publicly accessible sources. No proprietary feeds, no restricted databases. The value here is not in exclusive access — it is in the aggregation, the filtering, and the presentation. Bringing together what already exists, and making it easier to act on.
Hosting & Independence
This platform is independently hosted and self-managed. There are no third-party analytics, no data sharing, and no commercial dependencies beyond the infrastructure it runs on. Everything here is built and maintained on personal time, driven purely by the belief that better visibility into what is happening in the world — even for those outside large organisations — is worth pursuing.
A Note on AI-Assisted Development
This platform is a demonstration of what is possible when a non-technical person is given access to capable AI partners. Gemini and Claude Code did not replace judgement or intent — they amplified them. Every decision about what to build, what to prioritise, and what matters was human. The implementation was collaborative.
